Installation Grants

We work in partnership with a Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) accredited company. With Power Naturally and ourselves you qualify for the renewal Energy Grants Programme.

Do I qualify?

 

You need to make certain modifications to your property to provide proper insulation.

 

In consultation with an MCS certificated company select the most appropriate renewable energy technology for your property.

 

Select produces that are MCS approved.

 

How much can I get?

 

Householders can qualify for a grant of up to £2,500.

 

Organisations can qualify for a grant of up to £200,000.

 

The maximum grant available is £1.0 million.

 

When to apply?

 

You must apply and receive an offer of grant BEFORE installation work commences.

Installation Grants...

 

The Low Carbon Buildings Programme (LCBP) programme provides grants for the installation of microgeneration technologies in a range of buildings to include households, community organisations, public, private and the non-profit sector.

 

Householders

 

Householders can apply for grants of up to £2,500 per property towards the cost of installing a certified product by a certified installer.

 

The Low Carbon Buildings Programme householder stream relaunched in May 2007 and will now be committing funds until April 2011. MCS underpins the Low Carbon Buildings Programme and grants will be available to applicants using both products and installers certified under MCS schemes. We can help you with your grant applications. You need to have decided on your technology, (eg solar or heat pump) selected a certified installer, and have a quote before you apply. You must apply and have a grant offer before commencing installation.

 

Public Sector

 

Grants for the installation of microgeneration technologies are available to public sector buidlings (including schools, hospitals, housing associations and local authorities) and charitable bodies under the phase 2 programme.

 

From 1st July 2009

 

  • A further £45m has been allocated to extend the grants programme until April 2011.
  • The programme will be oped to all products and installer companies registered on the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).
  • The extended programme will continue to provude grant funding to charitable organisations, community groups and the public sector.
  • The upper limit for heat technologies will be raised to 300k W.
  • Organisations may apply for up to 50% of the cost of installing approved technologies up to a maximum of £200,000 (though maximum grant levels may depend on the nature of the organisation).
